SPECIAL PROGRAM

- The 11th edition of TIFF, in association with the Israel Film Fund and the Israel Embassy in Tirana, will present the special Program “ISREAL”, a section dedicated for the first time to the contemporary Israeli cinema. The show of the movies will be presented by the Israeli Film Fund director Katriel Schory. Other than the four newest movies produced by the Israeli cinema, the public will also be introduced to some of the best short movies and video arts, which during the days of the festival will be exhibited along with posters and images from the movies in the FAP Gallery of the University of Arts.

- In association with Asian Short Shorts Film Festival comes the program “BIG SHORTS IN JAPAN” where for the first time a section of recent best Japanese short movies selections will be projected. This collaboration will also bring the projection of Albanian short movies in the next edition of this activity in Tokyo 2014.

- One of program’s highlights of the eleventh edition of TIFF 2013 is the presentation of one of world’s most reputable Short Film distributors with which TIFF has worked closely since its inception. For ten years the collaboration with the Spanish distributing company KIMUAK has been congruous and advantageous. Therefore in this edition KIMUAK comes with a special program of best short movies of the last 15 years, which will be presented by Esther Cabero, coordinator of KIMUAK.

- One of festival’s goals is to create an original atmosphere and at the same time challenge the new cinematographers. In this edition, in collaboration with the LONDON FILM SCHOOL TIFF has made possible the presentation of their best conceptions curated by the director of this school Ben Gibson. During the program there will be a sequence to project movies by a group of students from the two film schools of Tirana.

- TIFF in partnership with the National Film Board of Canada will present for the first time for the audience of this festival Norman McLaren, with a selection of his best movies honored with many international awards like Oscar, Golden Bear and Bafta. He has been a pioneer in the field of animation, visual music, abstract film and graphical sound.

- Returning to TIFF BALKAN SHORTS, their collections have become tradition in the best Balkan short movies, made possible by the close cooperation with AltCine and Elektra Venaki, Greece.

- This edition will stage for the first time the project CINEFIER, which represents a new reality in form and the place of realization and in its perception. Its author is director Bujar Alimani. He is the inventor and leader of this project.

-Recurring, like in other editions REFLECTING ALBANIA, a program of ten years in the festival, dedicated to the movies produced by foreign cinematographers for Albania.

- In the framework of the exchange of experiences and partnership between the festivals will devise the program POSTSARD, a selection of short films from Sardegna, Italy which will be presented by Sergio Stagno, one of the founders of SKEPTO Film Festival.

- The program for Albanian Cinema Nostalgia, this edition, we have selected a movie review by Endri Keko, one of the founders of Albanian cinema after the war, known documentaries, awarded in international festivals.

PROGRAMI SPECIAL

- Në edicionin e 11të të TIFF, në bashkëpunim me Izraeli Film Fund dhe Ambasadën e Izraelit në Tiranë, do të shfaqet Programi Special “ISREAL”, seksion i dedikuar për herë të parë kinemasë bashkëkohore izraelite. Shfaqja e filmave do të prezantohet nga Presidenti i Izraeli Film Fund Katriel Schory. Përveç katër filmave më të rinj të prodhuar nga kinemaja Izraelite do të projektohen për publikun edhe disa nga filmat e shkurtër më të mirë si dhe disa video art, që së bashku me postera dhe imazhe të filmave do të ekspozohen gjatë ditëve të festivalit në Galerinë FAP të Universitetit të Arteve.

- Në bashkëpunim me Asian Short Shorts Film Festival do të kemi programin “BIG SHORTS IN JAPAN” ku për herë të parë do të projektohet një seleksiono i filmave të shkurtër më të mirë japonezë të viteve të fundit. Ky bashkëpunim konsiston edhe me projektimin e filmave të shkurtër shqiptarë në edicionin e ardhshëm të këtij aktiviteti në Tokio 2014.

- Një nga vlerat e programacionit të edicionit të njëmbëdhjetë të TIFF 2013 është edhe prezantimi i një prej distributorëve më me reputacion në botë për filmin e shkurtër me te cilin TIFF ka bashkëpunuar që në hapat e para. Prej dhjetë vjetësh bashkëpunimi me kompaninë e distribucionit spanjoll KIMUAK ka qene i pandarë dhe mjaft i frytshëm. Ndaj këtë edicion KIMUAK vjen me një program special me filmat e shkurtër më të mirë të 15 viteve të fundit, që do të prezantohet nga Esther Cabero, koordinatore e KIMUAK.

- Një ndër qëllimet e festivalit është krijimi i një atmosfere kreative si dhe njëkohësisht të ballafaqimit të vlerave për kineastët e rinj. Këtë edicion në bashkëpunim me LONDON FILM SCHOOL TIFF ka bërë të mundur prezantimin e krijimeve të tyre më të mira të kuruara nga drejtuesi i kësaj shkolle Ben Gibson. Gjatë programit do të krijohet një hapësirë për të projektuar edhe filmat e një grupi të studentëve të dy shkollave të filmit në Tiranë.

- TIFF në bashkëpunim me National Film Board of Canada prezanton për herë të parë përpara audiencës së festivalit Norman McLaren me një përzgjedhje nga filmat më të mirë të tij të vlerësuar me mjaft çmime ndërkombëtare si Oscar, Ariu i Artë dhe Bafta. Ai ka qene pionier në fushën e animacionit, visual music, abstract film dhe graphical sound.

- Do të jetë përsëri në TIFF BALKAN SHORTS, seleksionimi i kthyer në traditë i filmave të shkurtër më të mirë ballkanikë, mundësuar nga bashkëpunimi i ngushtë me AltCine dhe Elektra Venaki, Greqi.

- Në këtë edicion do të prezantohet për herë të parë dhe projekti CINEFIER, që përfaqëson një realitet të ri si për nga forma dhe vendi i realizimit ashtu edhe për nga forma e konceptimit, që mban për autor regjisorin Bujar Alimani, ideator dhe drejtor i projektit.

- Nuk do të mungojë si çdo edicion REFLECTING ALBANIA, program që prej dhjetë vjetësh në festival i kushtohet filmave të prodhuar nga kineastë të huaj për Shqipërinë.

- Në kuadrin e shkëmbimeve të eksperiencave dhe partneritetit midis festivaleve do të projektojmë programin POSTSARD, një përzgjedhje filmash të shkurtër nga Sardegna, që do të prezantohet nga Sergio Stagno, një prej themeluesve të SKEPTO Film Festival.

- Nga Nostalgjia e Kinemasë Shqiptare, këtë edicion, kemi përzgjedhur një përmbledhje filmash nga Endri Keko, njëri prej themeluesve të kinemasë shqiptare pas lufte, dokumentarist i njohur, i vlerësuar edhe në festivale ndërkombëtare.
