Mikaela Minga

Mikaela Minga is an ethno/musicologist and research scholar  in the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Art Studies in Tirana.  She also teaches courses on films music, jazz and popular music at the University of Arts. Her main research areas include 20the century musics, with a particular attention towards urban musical practices in Albania and the Mediterranean, film music and multimedia. She has published several books and articles.

Brenton KOTORRI

Brenton KOTORRI is a political trainer on account of the two German political foundations in Albania, FES and KAS. He is also a columnist for postbllok.com and other journals. Since January 2015 he has founded and lead APPA Think Tank, the young professional team that monitors and evaluates the Public Policies of the Albanian government. Translator of seven books in their Albanian Editions. In 2012 he was a contributor in the World Forum for Democracy and a year later in the UNESCO forum on Human Rights. He is specialized in political ideology and communication strategy. The US political system is also his field of study and expertise. He holds a BA and a MSc in International Relations.

Sokol Shameti, (born April 29, 1978) is an Albanian columnist, writer and journalist. Much of his interest is concerned with Politics of Albania, political philosophy and the late modern and contemporary history of the Balkans. Engaged with the Anti-globalization movement and International Organization for a Participatory Society, his work focuses on the failure of the political bodies of the left wing to represent public interests, the totalitarian ideology of the Neoliberalism and the transformation of the new left into right wing capital controlled parties. He is often mentioned among the Radical left activists in Albania.

Ben Andoni, born in 1966 in Tirana, studied Geography-History and worked firstly at the  Hydrometeorological Institute. Since 1996 his main profession has been as a journalist. He wrote for the newspaper “Koha Jone”, was Cultural Editor of the newspapers “Gazeta Shqiptare” and “Korrieri”, Chief Editor of the weekly magazine “ABC” and Deputy Chief Editor of the magazine “MAPO” and “Java”. He is currently editor in chief for national Cultural Supplement “Milosao”. He was also correspondent of the Belgrade news agency BETA and currently for ORF (Austrian National Radio Television). Ben Andoni translates from Serbian, Croatian and English.

Lyubo Yonchev is award winning director, writer and producer born on 16.02.1983 in Pleven, Bulgaria. He graduated film directing from New Bulgarian University. His professional debut is the short fiction film "SHOOTING STAR" which has been nominated for the 29th European Film Awards 2016, selected to more than 100 international festivals and won over 30 awards. Lyubo Yonchev becomes a member of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers (UBFM – Film Academy). Since 2016 he is a member of European Film Academy.

Elis MATAJ is a Film Production Expert and Stage Manager, born in Vlora on 07.07.1983

Elis has a consolidated experience in the field of TV production and stage management. In 2007 he was engaged in the position of Show Manager at KLAN TV Station (national tv station in Albania), while during 2006-2007 he served as a Show Manager and Director Assistant at Vision Plus (national tv station in Albania); During the time period 2002-2007 Elis served as the Director of the radio station "House of Arts" in Tirana.

Currently Elis is engaged as a Lecturer at the University of Arts on the subject "Film and Television production management".

Rada Šešic´, born in Croatia, worked as a film journalist and documentary maker in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo) before moving to Utrecht in 1993. She is a filmmaker, a critic and film lecturer.

Associated with two biggest film festivals in The Netherlands, International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, as a part of programming and IDFA Bertha Fund selection comity as well as program advisor of the International Film Festival Rotterdam and on selection at Hubert Bals Fund.

At the Sarajevo Festival she heads the Documentary Competition and co-heads Docu Rough Cut Boutique.

Agostino Ferrente

Agostino Ferrente was born in 1971 in Apulia.

After completing film studies at the Dams in Bologna and at “Ipotesi Cinema”, under the direction of Ermanno Olmi, he directs short films, “Poco piů della metŕ di zero” (1993) and “Opinioni di un pirla” (1994) awarded in many Italian and international festivaIs.

Along with Giovanni Piperno, he produced and co-directs two documentaries,: “Intervista a mia madre” (1999) shot in disadvantaged neighbourhoods of Naples and “II film di Mario” (2001), shot in Bari.

He haves also an another connection with TIFF because he is a short-feature documentary producer since 2003 certified from Ard, German Public television, in the framework of the South East European Stability Pact. In the morning show studio, almost every day, he speaks with his guests about the issues of actuality in Albania and Region or World, without forgetting art, cinema, culture and sports.
