Rada Šešic

Rada Šešic´, born in Croatia, worked as a film journalist and documentary maker in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo) before moving to Utrecht in 1993. She is a filmmaker, a critic and film lecturer.

Associated with two biggest film festivals in The Netherlands, International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, as a part of programming and IDFA Bertha Fund selection comity as well as program advisor of the International Film Festival Rotterdam and on selection at Hubert Bals Fund.

At the Sarajevo Festival she heads the Documentary Competition and co-heads Docu Rough Cut Boutique.

 

Artistic director of the Eastern Neighbours FF in The Hague. At Trieste Festival she heads Last Stop Trieste.

Has been teaching at the University of Amsterdam and is currently lecturer at The Master of Film at NFTA Amsterdam. Served on some 45 juries around the World. Lived in India where she was teaching two semesters at Sristi in Bangalore and has been a programmer for Kerala IFFK for 8 years.

Her short films and documentaries have won several awards and were presented at over 40 international film festivals. Her films have been archived at the MoMA in New York.
