Elis MATAJ

Elis MATAJ is a Film Production Expert and Stage Manager, born in Vlora on 07.07.1983

Elis has a consolidated experience in the field of TV production and stage management. In 2007 he was engaged in the position of Show Manager at KLAN TV Station (national tv station in Albania), while during 2006-2007 he served as a Show Manager and Director Assistant at Vision Plus (national tv station in Albania); During the time period 2002-2007 Elis served as the Director of the radio station "House of Arts" in Tirana.

Currently Elis is engaged as a Lecturer at the University of Arts on the subject "Film and Television production management".

 

 

In his professional portfolio, Elis holds a list of several completed artistic projects in the position of Director, including:

 

- The play "Endgame" from Samuel Beckett, put on stage at the National Theatre, Tiranë in 2009,

- The play "No Exit" from Jean Paul Sartre, put on stage at the National Theatre, Tiranë in 2010, awarded the prize "Best Director",

- The play "Amaro Amore" inspired by W. Shakespeare, put on stage at the National Theatre, Tiranë (in the position Director Assistant).

 

Elis has completed Bachelor & Master studies at the University of Arts, Tirana (formerly Academy of Arts) in Drama & Theatre Arts.

Elis has completed PhD studies at the Center of Albanology Studies, with the degree Doctor of Literature (PhD), Literature, Drama.

 

Elis Mataj is also frequently engaged in several Workshops, Film Festivals, Artistic Projects, etc, as a Coordinator and Curator.
