Synopsis Amalia, 13, gets her first period one day before leaving to the seaside with her parents. Having a strict and distant mother, Amalia secretly decides to take the matter into her own hands. While struggling with the issue by herself, she doesn't notice that her parents who discreetly agreed to split, are on the verge of giving up their last vacation spent as a family. What should have been an ordinary holiday becomes a mother-daughter quest. To find themselves, and then, each other.
Filmography After a BA at the Faculty of Theatre & Television, Romania, Cristina continued her studies at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art, directing several prize-winning shorts that traveled the European festival circuit. Holiday at the Seaside won the grand prize in its category at the Sarajevo Film Festival. Cristina is currently working on "Opening", a film project nominated for the 2014 Film Prize by the Robert Bosch Foundation and won the Transylvania Film Grant. She is also in post-production with "Happy New Year" (BUEK), a feature-length omnibus documentary due to be released in cinemas in December 2014, in Hungary.
