Synopsis

A young mortician will give his heart away to find true love. A whimsical, gothic bedtime story filled with love, loss, taxidermy, Kung fu, and biker werewolves.

Stephen W. Martin is an award-winning writer and director from St. John's, Newfoundland. His first short film, "Dead Friends," was the winner of the Crazy 8's Film Festival in Vancouver, Canada and was awarded Best Short at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival. It went on to screen at over 40 film festivals around the world, receiving a Tabloid Witch Award and a Leo Award nomination. He is also the director of "Godfathers of Rock Design" which in development with Force Four Entertainment, and explores the world of Rock iconography. It contains the last on-camera interview of legendary designer Arturo Vega, of the Ramones, as well as interviews with John Pasche, creator of the Rolling Stones 'lips and tongue.' The film was featured in Storyville at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Stephen is also the author of "Pop Manga," the #1 best-selling 'how-to-draw' book on Amazon.ca, published with Random House. His first children’s picture book, “Robot Smash," published by Owlkids, will debut in April of 2015.
