SYNOPSIS
Salt is a basic mineral that is corrosive but also essential for the survival of live. This ele- ment is used as the main conductor of the fiction that takes place in an outraged and disfigured city. Several characters are crossing this space, that mixed organic and inorganic properties. This is a route across a symbolic universe full of references where the pictures developed a syntax of its own from their elements.
FILMOGRAPHY Albert Merino (Barcelona 1979) is graduate in Fine Arts in the University of Barce- lona and the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee Using a personal and intimate language, he develops a vast imagery where the video is used as a tool to intercede in the daily life, verging often irony and absurd- ity. His work cover different genres from experimental films, to videodance, or fake documentaries. During the pas years, his work has been recognized with several awards, and was shown in exhibitions and festivals from several countries, such as, Los Angeles Art Fair, Art Fair, the Festival Madatac at Reina Sofia Museum, Latin Videoart Festival of New York, or the Bienal of Wroclaw...
